Bryce Edwards — actor, visual artist, cabaret performer, and multi-instrumentalist — brings his Frivolity Hour to Birdland: a full evening of music from the 1910s, 20s, and 30s, played with feverish abandon and genuine love for the era. Bryce is the creator of the Frivolity Hour and a cherished Four Hands Collective artist who performed with us at Night at the Triad 7 — the rare performer who can make a hundred-year-old song feel like it was written for tonight.
Joining him is a band that really packs a wallop: Mike Davis (cornet), Ricky Alexander (clarinet, alto saxophone), Conal Fowkes (piano), and Jay Rattman (bass saxophone).
The Four Hands Collective is a nonprofit that exists to make sure artists like Bryce are seen and heard. The most direct way to support them is the simplest one: get out, listen deeply, and bring a friend.
