A free midday gift from a familiar face: award-winning vocalist June Cavlan — who wowed the room at Night at the Triad 8 and returned for our Open Streets concert — brings her quartet to Jazz on the Plaza, NYC's community-based jazz festival now in its 20th year. June's charismatic interpretations of the Great American Songbook draw on Ella Fitzgerald, Shirley Horn, and Barbra Streisand, and her debut album A Portrait of June showcases her gifts as a vocalist, arranger, and improviser.
Bring a lunch and enjoy an hour of world-class jazz outdoors. Free and open to all (moved indoors in case of inclement weather). Sponsored by The Arts and Architecture Conservancy, Grand Central Partnership, and BXP.
