A Four Hands Collective Community Hang
on International Jazz Day
The Four Hands Collective is taking over the Triad for International Jazz Day with something a little different: a free late-night jam session, an open stage, and a community gathering. Come jam and get to know the Four Hands community and how to get involved.
The night opens with a special celebration of International Jazz Day. A kick-off set featuring Kate Kortum on vocals, Evan Schwam on saxophone, with Matt Baker and Antongiulio Foti on piano, Kris Monson on bass, and Danno Petersen on drums.
When the kick off set ends, Hit the Stage begins. The band stays on as the house band and the Triad's stage opens to anyone who wants it — professional musicians, emerging artists, and anyone with the courage to get up and give it a try.
Come sit in with one of the finest rhythm sections in New York City. Bring your charts in three copies and be ready for the unexpected.
No pre-signups. No reservations. Just show up.
Been wondering how to get involved with the Four Hands Collective community? Between sets, after sets, and throughout the night — this is a chance to meet musicians you haven't met yet, find collaborators, and be part of a community that genuinely shows up for its artists. The Four Hands Collective has spent the last three years building exactly this kind of room on the Upper West Side. This night is an open door.
