At the 8th Night at the Triad, Yoav Eshed performed an original composition called Remember That Space? — a piece that built slowly, patiently, guitar and piano holding the room in careful anticipation, until the strings entered and something in the room released. It was one of the most tender moments of the evening. The kind of music that reminds you what music is actually for.
This Saturday, Yoav takes his trio to Ornithology Jazz Club with two musicians who need no introduction to anyone who follows New York jazz seriously.
Ari Hoenig is among the most distinctive and celebrated jazz drummers of his generation — a musician whose rhythmic intelligence has influenced players across the world. Omer Avital is a bassist, composer, and bandleader whose work has been central to the New York jazz scene for over two decades.
Together, this is a room worth going out of your way for.

One of the best ways to support the artists in this community is to show up for their work beyond the Triad stage. Yoav gave this community something real on March 24th. Show up for him the way he showed up for us.
The Four Hands Collective promotes the work of our community artists across New York City. Find upcoming performances at fourhandscollective.org.
