Emmy-nominated trumpeter and vocalist Benny Benack III leads this week's Sunday Session. He plays trumpet with real fire and sings with a sly, post-Sinatra ease. Benny is a longtime collaborator of our co-founder Matt Baker and performed at our 7th Night at the Triad.

Plowshares keeps live jazz going in West Harlem while so many venues close, with a 100-year-old Kurtzman piano and a jam-session feel: local musicians are welcome to sit in after the first set. Coffee, food, beer, wine, and cider are available, and donations help keep the music going.
