Trio Fadolín performs a free summer picnic concert at Roger Morris Park beside the Morris-Jumel Mansion in Washington Heights — presented in partnership with the Washington Heights Chamber Orchestra.
Built in 1765, the Morris-Jumel Mansion is Manhattan's oldest surviving residence and was once the headquarters of General George Washington. The surrounding park and the historic Jumel Terrace make it one of the most beautiful outdoor settings in the city for an afternoon of live music.
Trio Fadolín brings together Sabina Torosjan on violin, Valeriya Sholokhova on cello, and Ljova on the fadolín — a new instrument with a unique chamber sonority that has been presented by Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Kennedy Center.
Bring a blanket or chair. Bring a picnic. Free and open to all.
