9th Night at the Triad

June 12th, 2026.

Night 9 was a community celebration.

Our ninth Night at the Triad, on Friday, June 12th, 2026, was a night of firsts — our first-ever Friday show, and the first time the sky tried to stop us. Just after doors, a torrential downpour opened up; our audience walked in soaked and sat down anyway, passing bar towels down the rows. What followed was, even for us, something special. When two performers fell ill hours before the show, two of our own production volunteers — both world-class musicians — stepped in, and Ava Preston and Marina Alba, who had met only that evening, created an improvised scat duet that became one of the most magical moments we've ever had on that stage. From Lila Bloom's haunting originals to Troy Roberts' breathtaking saxophone, Stephanie Nakasian's wit and mastery, Kim McClay's genre-bending songs, and a meditative Indian raga from Ehren Hanson and Jay Gandhi that left the whole room in rapt silence, it was the most diverse, surprising, and courageous show we've ever produced, proof, once again, of what happens when artists take a risk and a community shows up to truly listen.

WHAT MOVED YOU?

Every Night at the Triad happens in the room — and then it lives in the people who were there. We'd love to know what you carried home.

These shows are built by everyone in them — performers, audience, volunteers, donors. Your words are part of the record. We want to hear them.

THE NIGHT

Directed by Antongiulio Foti and Matt Baker, the evening brought together ten extraordinary musicians across jazz, classical, and original music. Some had been part of this community since the beginning. Some were stepping onto the Triad stage for the first time. All of them gave everything.
