Hindustani classical raga on sarod, played as music for meditation, followed by an open Brooklyn Raga Massive jam.
Colombian-born sarod player, guitarist and composer Camila Celin has studied Hindustani music for more than 17 years. She co-founded Brooklyn Raga Massive and has performed at Lincoln Center, the Met, MoMA, the Rubin Museum and the Kolkata Jazz Festival. She’s joined on tabla by Ehren Hanson, who played our ninth Night at the Triad.
After the concert, BRM co-artistic director Neel Murgai hosts the BRM Jam Session. Musicians who join the jam get in free; sign up at event-sign-up.onrender.com/Event/187. Barzakh Café serves small plates and drinks.
