Fourteen years in NEA Jazz Master Chico Hamilton’s band, and now his own quartet in one of the Village’s most intimate listening rooms.

New York-born tenor saxophonist Evan Schwam spent 14 years in Chico Hamilton’s Euphoria band, recording 10 albums that featured his own compositions and arrangements. He brings his quartet to Mezzrow, the hushed basement listening room in Greenwich Village, for two early sets.

Sets at 6:00 & 7:30 PM · Mezzrow, 163 W 10th St · Tickets at smallslive.com

The Four Hands Collective works to build a room where community gathers around the artists who bring it alive. The best way to help build that room is to go see a show, and say hi to the artists.
